GALIVANTS FERRY | Jimmy B. Britt, 65, husband of Eliza J. Martin, died Tuesday, Aug. 22, 2006 at Conway Medical Center after an illness. Jimmy was born July 16, 1941 in Horry County, a son of the late Hubert and Gertrude James Britt. He was a retired farmer. Surviving Jimmy, in addition to his wife of the home, are a son, Danny Martin and his wife, Dot of Marion; five grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; three brothers, Wheeler Britt and his wife, Denise of Galivants Ferry, Carlis Britt and his wife, Martha of Marion and Hubert Britt of Aynor; and five sisters, Sara Britt of Fair Bluff, N.C., Susie B. Barnhill of Galivants Ferry, Loretta Britt of Galivants Ferry, Garnet B. Miles of Galivants Ferry and Helen B. Cook of Galivants Ferry. Jimmy was predeceased by a son, Keith Martin; a brother, Sammy Britt; and two sisters, Elaine Britt and Yevonne Britt. Graveside services will be held at 2:30 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 24, 2006 in Sandy Plain United Methodist Church Cemetery with the Rev. Terry Brown officiating. The services will be directed by Cox-Collins Funeral Home of Mullins. Visitation will be held Wednesday evening, Aug. 23, 2006, from 6 to 8 p.m. at Cox-Collins Funeral Home of Mullins.
