AYNOR | Rev. David Forrest Best, 54, husband of Katherine Rabon Best passed away Thursday, August 10, 2006. David was born July 29, 1952 in Mullins, a son of Janet Reynolds and the late Forrest Best. He was a full time pastor with the Marlboro Circuit Charge. David was a member of the South Carolina United Methodist Church Conference. He was a member of the Bass Masters Fishing Club. David leaves behind, in addition to his wife of the home, his mother, Janet Reynolds of Galivants Ferry; his children, David Forrest Best. Jr. of Charleston and Joycelyn Best Johnson of the home; his grandchildren, Samuel Best, Alicia Lewis and William Johnson, all of the home; and his siblings, Willie Best Sr., Scott Best and Melissa Best Harrelson, all of Conway and Keith Best, Darryl Best and Curtis Best, all of Galivants Ferry. David was predeceased by his father, Forrest Best; his stepfather, Samuel Morgan Reynolds; and a brother, Mason Graham ''Bee Bee'' Best. Visitation, with a pork barbecue supper, will be held Saturday evening, August 12, 2006 at 4 p.m. at Aynor United Methodist Church. The celebration of David's life, along with a gospel singing, will be held at 3 p.m. Sunday, August 13, 2006 at Aynor United Methodist Church, with the Rev. Dennis Mardis officiating.
