LATTA — Mrs. Mildred Phillips Brunson, 86, died Friday, August 4, 2006, at her residence. Visitation will be Sunday, August 6, 2006, from 7-9 p.m. at Kannaday’s Funeral Home of Latta. Funeral services will be Monday, August 7, 2006, at 11:00 a.m. at Latta United Methodist Church with burial in Magnolia Cemetery, directed by Kannaday’s Funeral Home. Mrs. Brunson was born in Mullins, SC, March 12, 1920, a daughter of the late Thomas and Sally Perritt Phillips. She was the wife of the late Samuel Edward Brunson, a homemaker and a member of Latta United Methodist Church. Mrs. Brunson is survived by sons, Henry A. (Dottie) Brunson of Latta, SC, Eddie (Louise) Brunson of Lancaster, SC, Rev. Jerry (Barbara) Brunson of Saluda, SC, Rocky (Lynn) Brunson of Latta, SC; daughter, Lynda (Ronnie) Nye of Orrum, NC; sister, Essie Rogers of Summerville, SC; 15 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren. Mrs. Brunson was predeceased by three sisters and five brothers. Special thanks to Mrs. Jean Sheppard and Mrs. Iola Geralds, who cared for our mother.
