RAINS — Grace Gasque, 84, died Monday, August 7, 2006, in Carolinas Hospital System after an extended illness. Born January 15, 1922, in Marion County, Miss Gasque was the daughter of the late Mrs. Zettie Gasque. A graduate of Rains High School, Miss Gasque had retired as a cafeteria worker from Marion School District 3. She was a member of Ariel Baptist Church and the Adult Ladies Sunday School Class. Miss Gasque is survived by a cousin, Helen Turbeville of the home and by a host of relatives and friends. Funeral services will be held at 3:00 p.m. Thursday, August 10 at Ariel Baptist Church, with Rev. Richard Moretz and Rev. Jack Hudson officiating. Burial will follow in Ariel Baptist Church Cemetery, directed by Cox-Collins Funeral Home. Memorials may be made to Ariel Baptist Church, 3803 S. Hwy. 501, Mullins, SC 29574. Visitation will be held Wednesday evening from 6 til 8 p.m. at Cox-Collins Funeral Home.
