HARLEYVILLE, SC - James Ray Bryant, 69 of 707 Spring Branch Road, Harleyville died Friday August 11, 2006 at the Summerville Medical Center. Funeral services will be 3 p.m. Sunday in the Harleyville Southern Methodist Church with Rev. John T. Hucks and Haskell Parler officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Pallbearers will be Donald Bryant, Jason Bryant, William Murray, George Murray, Vendell Rogers, Andy Cook, and Ernest Westbury. Visitation will be 5 to 7 PM Saturday at Bryant Funeral Home, St. George. Mr. Bryant was born November 13, 1936 in Marion County a son of the late Herbert and Corine Perritt Bryant. He attended Zion School and graduated from Mullins High School. Ray was a member of Harleyville Southern Methodist Church and was a retired employee of Westbury's Ace Hardware in Harleyville and a farmer. He was predeceased by his siblings; Hazel B. Lane, Cecil, Harry, Robert C., Burnette Bryant. Surviving; his wife Vivian Ann Murray Bryant, of the home, his twin sister Faye (Jon) Rogers, Mullins; Mother-in-law Cleo I. Murray, Harleyville, Brother-in-law Pinckney (Millie) Murray, St. George; sister-in-law Ada (Michael) Turner, Walterboro and a number of nieces and nephews.
