MULLINS — Mr. Henry Lamor “H.L.” Johnson, 62, died Friday, August 25, 2006, in Marion Nursing Center. Funeral services will be held 3 p.m. Sunday, August 27, at the chapel of Cox-Collins Funeral Home with Rev. Jim Kirkland and Rev. Neil Hinson officiating. Burial will follow in Rehoboth United Methodist Church Cemetery, directed by Cox-Collins Funeral Home. Mr. Johnson was born September 29, 1943, in Horry County, a son of the late B. Frank and Ruth Doyle Johnson. He was a retired utility worker and a member of Mullins First Baptist Church. Surviving Mr. Johnson are two brothers, Franklin L. Johnson and his wife, Maxine, of Plant City, Fla., and Stephen L. Johnson and his wife, Glenda, of Sumter; two sisters, Mary Ruth Martin of Mullins and Clara Herrington of Mullins; several nieces and nephews. Mr. Johns was predeceased by three sisters, Mrs. Robert (Lionelle) McIntyre, Mrs. Rupert (Sally Pearl) Huggins and Jesse Maude Johnson and a brother, Oliver Zodock “Tutor” Johnson. Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society, 950 48th Ave. N., Myrtle Beach, SC 29577. Visitation will be held Saturday evening from 7 until 9 p.m. at Cox-Collins Funeral Home.
