MULLINS — Mrs. Jessie Teague Schoolfield, 91, widow of William Bethell Schoolfield, died Saturday, June 7, 2008 at Mullins Nursing Center after an illness. Graveside services will be held at 10:00 A.M. Monday, June 9 in Cedardale Cemetery. The services will be directed by Cox-Collins Funeral Home. Mrs. Schoolfield was born July 8, 1916 In Laurens, S.C., a daughter of the late Herbert Fuller Teague and the late Clementina Golding Fuller Teague. She was a graduate of Winthrop College. Mrs. Schoolfield was very active in her community and her church, Macedonia United Methodist Church. Surviving Mrs. Schoolfield are: 3 Daughters: Jean S. Tower of Mullins, Sue S. Guy and her husband Dan of Lake City and Ann S. Simpson and her husband Tommy of Mullins; 4 Grandchildren: Mary Sue Morrison, Daniel Guy, Jr., Rex Simpson and Hughes Simpson; and 8 Great Grandchildren. Mrs. Schoolfield was predeceased by a son-in-law, Hugh Tower; 2 Brothers, Martin Teague and Calvin Teague; and a sister, Clemigene T. Baiden.
