MULLINS | Franky Watts Huggins, formerly of Nichols, wife of the late Gary G. Huggins, died Wednesday, June 25, 2008 at Mullins Nursing Center. Born July 10, 1915 in Horry County, South Carolina, she was a daughter of the late Numer and Fronnie Ransom Watts. Mrs. Huggins was a homemaker and a member of Wannamaker Baptist Church. Surviving are a daughter, Cleta Myrtle H. (Rex) Hitchcock of Cartersville, Ga.; a son, Richard L. (Ann) Huggins Sr. of Blackville; a sister, Mrs. Virginia Strickland of Nichols; six grandchildren; and a number of great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her husband; a son, Edwin R. Huggins; sisters, Betty W. Ford and Clara W. Herring; and brothers, James and Eugene Watts. The family will receive friends beginning 1 p.m. Saturday, June 28, 2008 at the graveside in Riverside Cemetery, Nichols. Graveside services will be held immediately following the visitation with the Rev. Shawn Brashear conducting the service.
