MARION — Mr. Jerry Kemp Rogers, 62, died Thursday, June 19, 2008, at the Marion County Medical Center after an illness. Funeral Services will be held at 4:00 p.m. on Saturday, June 21, at Richardson Funeral Home with burial in Devotion Gardens. The family will receive friends on Friday, June 20, from 7:00-9:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Born in Marion, Mr. Rogers was a son of the late Harold and Viola Butler Rogers. He was a driver for Vulcraft and of the Baptist Faith. He was predeceased by a brother, Jimmie Rouse. Survivors are his wife, Jackie Kirton Rogers, of the home; two sons, John Christopher Rogers of Palm Bay, FL and Richard Anthony Rogers of Florence; a daughter, Jennifer Knight of Florence; five brothers, Gene Rogers of Charleston, Cecil L. Rogers of Marion, Harold Rogers of Teaga Cay, Johnny Rogers of Spartanburg and Jack Rogers of Marion; two sisters, Ginger Munnerlyn of Camden and Margaret Shelly of Pleasant View; three granddaughters, Susan, Savannah and Eva and one grandson, Zach.
