Burial with full military honors will be in Devotion Gardens. Visitation will be 7-9 this evening at the funeral home. Mr. Hooks died Tuesday. Born in Marion Co., he was a son of Gladys Jewell Shelley Hooks and Ansel B. Hooks. He was retired from the U.S. Army. He was a member of Open Door Independent Baptist Church. Surviving are his wife, Opal Honeycutt Hooks; son, William Hooks; daughter, Margaret Turner; four brothers; a sister; two grandsons.
