The State (Columbia): Tuesday, August 21, 2001 Archie Rogers II FORK -- Services for Archie Boyd "Dick" Rogers II will be held 2 p.m. Wednesday at Fork Baptist Church with burial in the church cemetery directed by Cooper Funeral Home. Visitation will be held 7-9 this evening in the funeral home. Mr. Rogers, 83, died Monday, August 20, 2001 at his residence after an illness. Born in Dillon County, March 30, 1918, he was the son of the late Archie Rogers and Carrie Edwards Rogers. He was a retired merchant, member of Fork Baptist Church and was a U.S. Army Veteran of World War II. Surviving are his wife, Charlotte Cottingham Rogers of Fork; daughter, Janice Rogers Adams of Hamer; sons, Steven Rogers of Dillon, Bill Rogers of West Columbia, and Archie Rogers Jr. of Fork; sisters, Jimmie Rogers of Lake View and Catherine Calhoun of Fork; brothers, Jerry Rogers of Fork and Reuben Rogers of Lake View; seven grandchildren. Mr. Rogers was preceded in death by his brothers, Pete Rogers and Bill Rogers.
