Bowen, 75, will be held at 3 p.m. Sunday at Cooper Funeral Home Chapel, with burial in Greenlawn Cemetery. Mrs. Bowen, widow of J.W. Bowen, died Friday at St. Eugene Medical Center. Born in Dillon County on January 25, 1926, she was a daughter of the late Fred Herring and Isla Caulder Herring. Mrs. Bowen was a member of Pyerian Baptist Church. Survivors include her son, John D. Bowen of Dillon; sisters, Shirley Hyatt of Columbia, Thelma Miller of Augusta; grandchildren, Daniel Wells Bowen of Dillon and Melissa Ann Church.
