Aug 18, 2001 John B. Anderson FLORENCE -- John B. Anderson, 88, died Saturday, Aug. 18, 2001 in a local nursing facility after an illness. Graveside services will be 2 p.m. Monday, Aug. 20 at Florence Memorial Gardens, directed by Waters-Powell Funeral Home. The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m. today at the funeral home and other times at the home of Dorothy A. King, 1224 Pickney Ave., Florence. Mr. Anderson was born in Dillon County, a son of the late Jeter Montgomery and Madge Hayes Anderson. He was a retired Sales Agent with Independent Life Insurance Company and was a member of Southside Baptist Church. He was predeceased by his wife, Jane W. Anderson. Survivors include two sons, Billy G. Anderson of Tega Cay and Wayne D. Anderson of Arlington, Texas; a daughter, Dorothy A. King of Florence; a sister, Retha A. Edwards of Florence; eight grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren
