The State (Columbia): Friday, August 31, 2001 Emerson Causey FORK -- Services for Emerson Dwight Causey, 81, formerly a longtime resident of North Charleston, will be held at 4 p.m. Saturday, September 1, 2001 at Cox-Collins Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Danny Wiley and the Rev. Paul Wall officiating. Interment will follow in Mt. Olive Baptist Church Cemetery. Visitation will be from 7-9 this evening at the funeral home and other times at the residence of Carol C. Harvin, 3421 Calder Road, Mullins. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Floyds United Methodist Church, Building Fund, P.O. Box 107, Nichols, SC 29581. Mr. Causey, widower of Leo Jernigan Causey, died Thursday, August 30, 2001 in Sunny Acres Nursing Home after an illness. Born in Horry County, he was a son of the late Fletcher M. Causey and Marchie Elliott Causey. He was a retired carpenter, a U.S. Army veteran of World War II and a member of Floyds United Methodist Church. Surviving are daughters, Betty C. Gladue of Mansfield, Ga., Joyce C. Peek of Florence, Jacqueline C. Snipes of Goose Creek and Carol C. Harvin of Mullins; son, Glenn Causey of Goose Creek; brother, Elbert Causey of Columbia; ten grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; one great-great grandchild; five stepgrandchildren; 19 stepgreat- grandchildren; two stepgreat-great-grandchildren. Mr. Causey was preceded in death by a son Wayne Causey; four brothers and two sisters.
