Esther G. Prox Esther Gladys Prox, 74, of Palmer Place, died Sunday, Aug. 12, 2001, at the Medical University of South Carolina. She was born June 7, 1927, in Rains-Centenary, a daughter of the late Jesse Mack Martin and Sadie Leggette Martin-McLaughlin. She was a lifetime member of the VFW, Ladies Auxiliary in Murrells Inlet. She was a charter member of First Baptist Church of Murrells Inlet. She was an avid gardener and Atlanta Braves fan. Survivors include a son, Frank Dale Prox of Murrells Inlet; three daughters, Frankie O'Donnell, Tina Lane and Renee Dishong, all of Murrells Inlet; a brother, Buddy Martin of Madison, Fla.; and six grandchildren. She was predeceased by her husband, Frank Prox, and a sister, Mary Riggle. Visitation will be from 4 to 6 p.m. Wednesday at Nanie's House, the home of Frankie O'Donnell. Services will be private.
