Sep 24, 2001 Cecil Warren Cox Jr. LATTA -- Services for Cecil Warren Cox Jr. will be held 5 p.m. on Monday in Pyerian Baptist Church with burial in Mt. Andrews Cemetery directed by Cooper Funeral Home. Mr. Cox, 32, died Saturday, Sept. 22, 2001, at his residence after an illness. Born in Dillon County, Aug. 8, 1969, he was the son of Cecil Warren Cox Sr. and Lois McDonald Hayes. He was employed by Smurfit Stone and attended Oak Grove Baptist Church. Survivors include his wife, Becky Norton Cox of Latta; son, Matthew Warren Cox of Latta; mother, Lois McDonald Hayes of Dillon; father, Cecil Cox Sr. of Latta; sisters, Stacie Hayes of Dillon and Sandy Cox of Latta; grandmother, Elsie McDonald of Dillon. Mr. Cox was preceded in death by his son, Alan Michael Cox and grandparents, Robert L. McDonald and Mr. and Mrs. G.C. Cox. Memorials may be made to the Oak Grove Fire Department or to the Latta Rescue Squad.
