I sent this to the list yesterday, but it didn't go through. Trying again. Thanks, Jane. Looks like this R. R. Rogers was perhaps a little old for Mary Jane Horn, but not by a whole lot, she born circa 1846. I still wonder if she was a second wife. Do you have any information about when his Huggins wife died? Also of interest, is that Mary Jane Horn's sister, Caroline Horn Roberts, had three children who married into the Rogers family. Foster Roberts married Ella Rogers, and Magnolia "Nolie" Roberts married Clyde Rogers. Both of these spouses were said by Bert Roberts to have been children of a Sam Rogers. Roger R. Roberts and Caroline Horn Roberts' third child who married into the Rogers family was Estelle Roberts who married Sam Rogers, who Mr. Bert Roberts thought was also a son of Sam Rogers (Senior). Children of Sam and Estelle Roberts Rogers were French Rogers, Colonel C. Rogers (1907-1965, the only one of these folks I have dates on), Eileen Rogers and Leola Rogers. Bert seemed not too certain of the parents of these Rogers spouses, but thought they were all brothers and sister, and their father's name was Sam. I suspect now that these were probably children of Samuel Rogers, son of R.R. Rogers and his Huggins wife. My question remains, were they Mary Jane Horn's step-children? Or did Mary Jane die between 1870-1880, and is all this just a bunch of coincidence? I'd love to hear from anyone else who might have more detail on any of these families. Thanks again, Jane.
