The following is a labor of love created by Joanne Harley, forwarded here with her permission. In reading "THE DIARIES OF EVAN PUGH", Joanne decided to extract all the marriage data and share it with her fellow researchers. A little background provided by Joanne: "Rev. Evan Pugh started his ministry at the Welsh Neck Church back in 1765, but the church declined in membership and he was dismissed. He then received a call to the Cashaway Church some twenty miles distant from the Welsh Neck, and continued there until he retired sometime in the 1790's. Pugh was seldom consistent in his spelling of proper names. I typed them as he spelled them. There were months when his only notes on marriages were simply, "married a couple", which were scattered throughout his diaries. There were other notations he made and only mentioned the groom's name."
