LORIS Harry L. Herring Harry Lee Herring, 55, died Wednesday, Dec. 5, 2001, at Grand Strand Regional Medical Center after an illness. He was born Oct. 31, 1946, in Loris, a son of the late Willie Ellis Herring and Annie Ruth Barker Herring. He was an Army veteran of the Vietnam conflict, receiving the National Defense Service Medal, Bronze Star Medal, Vietnam Campaign medal with "60" Device, Vietnam Service Medal with two stars, and the Good Conduct Medal. Survivors include a son, Brad Herring of Rock Hill; a daughter, Carol Apperson and her husband, Noah, of Loris; four brothers, Russell Herring and his wife, Myron, Ellis M. Herring and his wife, Heidi, and Charlie Bill "Bud" Herring, all of Loris, and Jimmy T. Herring and his wife, Francis, of Alexandria, La.; two sisters, Annette Norris and her husband, Bobby, of Tabor City, N.C., and Jennifer Dix and her husband, Junior, of Myrtle Beach. The funeral will be at 3 p.m. today at Hardwick Memorial Chapel. The Revs. Drew Hardee and Billy Prince will officiate. The burial will be in Patterson Cemetery. Hardwick Funeral Home is in charge
