FLORENCE — Marvin Kistler Mixon, 67, died Sunday, Jan. 22, 2006, after a long illness. Funeral services will be 2 p.m. today in the Chapel of Layton-Anderson Funeral Home. Interment will follow in Anderson Cemetery in Timmonsville. Mr. Mixon was born in Darlington County, the son of the late Briley and Mabel Anderson Mixon. He was co-owner of Pee Dee Appraisal Co. of Florence until his retirement. He was married to Joyce Yates Mixon of Florence. Other survivors are a son, Larry M. Mixon (Sue) of Mullins; a daughter, Darlene Coker of Marion; a sister, Patricia M. Hardee (Paul) of Mullins; and a brother, Marion Mixon (Virginia) of Florence; two stepsons, Tony E. Seegers and James Seegers (Donna); two stepdaughters, Connie Tedder (Mike) and Teresa J. Jenkins, all of Florence; 10 grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.
