Do you mean queries as in Obit? I received them on my end. side note is anyone doing cemetaries in Marlboro? I am really interested in Hunt's Bluff(Red Hill / Westfield Bluff) area. Suppose Hunt family lived there and there is a grave with a Creswell Hunt. I am trying to find out if his name was Christopher Creswell Hunt. url below ends with 735 http://geonames.usgs.gov/pls/gnispublic/f?p=140:3:9566697963829843725::NO::P3_FID:1232735 Allen -------------- Original message ---------------------- From: [email protected] > Dear List, > I have posted a couple queries to the list and have not seen them posted. > Has anyone else had problems? > Peggy > > > ==== SCMARION Mailing List ==== > To contact the list administrator send an email to: > [email protected] >
Allen, Your post just came today. There iwas a cemetery survey done of the cemeteries in Marlboro County. Elizabeth Drake & Jacquelyn Rainwater published it in 1970. Unfortunately they did not include an index. If you can give me the names of the cemeteries in the particular area you are looking I will see if I can find your Hunt ancestor. I would believe this location of Creswell Hunt on Hunt's Bluff is a private location. He would have been involved in the Hunt's Buff Rev War event. Hunt's Bluff is rather old location I believe I seen document stating as far back to 1735. At this time I do not believe my Hunt line would have been the founder of this location. There is a book that states Murphee left Robeson County in 1790 along with Hunt family to the Hunt's Bluff area of Marlboro. Lydia Hunt deed trust is located in Marion District dated 1854 and she died in 1856. [email protected] wrote: > Allen, > Your post just came today.
