NICHOLS | William ''Billy'' Gary Ford Jr., age 66, of the Duford Community, passed away Thursday, Jan. 26, 2006 at his residence. Mr. Ford was born Oct. 24, 1939 in Marion County, S.C., a son of Mrs. Louvinia Collins Ford and the late William Gary Ford Sr. He married the former Laura McCraw on Jan. 26, 1963 and was a member of the Nichols Baptist Church. Mr. Ford retired from Dupont after 32 years of service and had served for four years in the National Guard. He was a loving husband, father, and ''Papa Bill'' and enjoyed spending time with his six grandchildren, especially riding around with them on the golf cart. Survivors in addition to his mother, Louvinia Collins Ford of Duford include his wife of 43 years, Laura McCraw Ford of the home; one son, Gary Mark Ford and his wife, Michelle, of Duford; one daughter, Susan Ford Graham and her husband, Shawn, of Loris; one sister, Carolyn Ford Atkins and her husband, Mickey, of Whiteville, N.C.; and his six grandchildren, Stacey Ford, David Williamson, Storm Ford, Summer Ford, Lauren Graham, and Haylee Graham. The family received friends on Friday night at Ward Funeral Home in Loris. Graveside services will be held on Saturday, Jan. 28, 2006 at 2 p.m. from the Riverside Cemetery in Nichols. The Rev.
