LATTA | Mr. Roosevelt Burnie ''R.B.'' Lewis, 72, husband of Ann Frances Conner Lewis, died Thursday, Jan. 19, 2006 at his home after an illness. Mr. Lewis was born May 11, 1933, in Horry County, a son of the late Charles Norton Lewis, and the late Ima ''Pet'' Perritt Lewis. He was a retired automobile mechanic. He was a U.S. Army veteran. Mr. Lewis was a member of Mullins-Marion Freewill Baptist Church. Surviving Mr. Lewis in addition to his wife of the home are his children, Debbie Johnson of Nichols, Patty Barnes of Pageland, Chubby Caulder of Sellers, and Donald Ward of Mullins; his stepchildren; Philip Bey of Marietta, Ga. and Laurie Ann Caulder of Sellers; eight grandchildren; and two brothers, Jimmy Lewis of Conway and Billy Watson of Nichols. Mr. Lewis was predeceased by a daughter, Juel Lewis Lawrimore. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 22, at Mullins-Marion Freewill Baptist Church, with the Rev. Neil Hinson and the Rev. Jack Strickland officiating. Burial will follow in Stephens Cemetery, directed by Cox-Collins Funeral Home of Mullins.
