MULLINS — Steven Wayne “Steve” Wethington, age 48, died Tuesday, July 18, 2006, in McLeod Regional Medical Center in Florence. He was the son of the late Chief Warrant Officer Thomas Henry Wethington, U.S. Army (Ret.), and Margaret C. Wethington of Marion. Steve was a member of Macedonia United Methodist Church. He was a licensed real estate agent with George Poole, Inc. He was a member of Wildlife Action, a member of Wahee Gun Club, Ehrhardt Gun Club, Smoakes Hunting Club and Pine Bay Gun Club. Survivors, in addition to his mother, are his wife, Anne Poole Wethington; two sons, Graham Wethington of Mullins and Chris Wethington and his wife, Brittany Johnson, of Mullins; one brother, Tommy Wethington and his wife, Brenda, of Orange Park, Fla.; one sister, Mary Moyd and her husband, Ervin, of Marion; a brother-in-law, Martin Poole and his wife, Liz, of New York; one granddaughter, Emma Grayce Wethington and several nieces and nephews. Visitation will be held Thursday, July 20, from 7 to 9 p.m. at Meares Funeral Home. Funeral will be 2 p.m. Friday, July 21, at Macedonia United Methodist Church with Rev. Bruce Sayre and Rev. Scott Shirley officiating. Burial will follow in Cedardale Cemetery. Memorials may be made to Epworth Children’s Home, P.O.
