Price family in Craven Co, Marion Co I found a Price line on the web, but it’s gone now, Marion Banks was the name I think. Anyway, trying to verify what was on it I found a will for William Price who died 1749 in a book at the Library of Congress, also other land transactions in said Co. predominately in Prince George Parish. Some of the land transactions mention his wife Ann, and the will identifies his wife, Ann and sons Henry, Samuel, William and James. The birth dates listed for the sons, on the website, were 1732, 35, 38 and 41, but that would make them minors legally and would have needed a guardian appointed (I think). The will was an extract so I’m not sure what all it includes. The website also included sons for Henry and His wife Elizabeth, they are Nathan, John, Charles, William, Thomas and Edmond with birth dates 1755, 63, 64, 65, 66, and 70. Sons of William and Margaret (Mathers?) listed as Enos, William, Henry, John and James with birth dates 1808, 15, 19, 21 and 24. I haven’t found anything on the family of Henry and Elizabeth or William and Margaret. There is a lot of speculation on William and Margaret as being the Margaret with 7 little boys and it’s quite possible. Henry and John are pretty well established as brothers who married Lewis sisters and James was identified in The Campbell diary as a brother to John, but Enos and William I don’t know about. I also found Grants to John and William Price side-by-side in 1779 on S side of Mayple Swamp joining Lewis Perril and Richard Bradly (names I don’t recognize), the book from LoC was NC Land Grants in SC, I believe. The Mayple Swamp referred to isn’t identified as to county and I’m not sure where the Maple Swamp of Marion Co is located, so those Grants (1779) might be elsewhere. This is where I am right now, maybe I need to go back to the LoC and DAR for further research.
