Hi. I am trying to break one of my "many brick walls" . I hope someone on this list can help me. I am looking for the parents and sibs of Sadie Rozada  Watts b. 9 Jul 1835, d. 25 Sep 1890 in Hillsboro, Marion Co, SC.  It is said that Rozada (this is the name she was known by)  is buried in the Hayestown Cemetery in Lake View, Dillon Co, SC. beside her husband Hardy Harvey Hays. (Hays is spelled without the " e " on all records I can find for Hardy H. Hays, incliding his headstone.). In the cemetery, Hardy H. Hays has a headstone but there is no stone for Rozada. I don't know where Rozada Watts was born. She married Hardy Harvey Hays 20 Dec 1855 Hillsboro (Hayestown) Marion Co, SC. I have searched for Sadie Rozada Watts for years. Family rumor says Rozada had red hair and "kept" bees, and she left her children locked up in the house, with food and water, for weeks while she went to see Hardy H. Hays when he was in the Civil War. Family rumor says that "Granny" Ava Jean Brewer Hays, went by to check on the children in Rozada's absence.
