GEORGETOWN | Eunice Mae Hodges Elliott, 79, died Wednesday, April 29, 2009, at her residence. Mrs. Elliott was born April 10, 1930 in Mullins, a daughter of the late Jesse Morris Hodges and Maola Smith Hodges. She was the former owner of Granny's Nursery and a former caregiver at Aunt Terri's Nursery. Mrs. Elliott was a member of the Church of Christ, where she was a former Sunday School teacher and Vacation Bible School teacher. Mrs. Elliott was predeceased by her husband, Eddie Dupree Elliott; and a daughter, Linda Cheryl Elliott. Surviving is a son, Gregg Elliott of Georgetown; two daughters, Delores E. (Sidney) Howard and Terri D. Felder, both of Andrews; a brother, James (Rachel) Hodges of Hartsville; two sisters, Ruth Proctor of Dillon and Sue Filyaw of Pembroke, Ga.; five grandchildren, Melinda H. (Rob) Stewart of Cotton, Tenn., Angela Howard of Lake City, and Jacob Felder, Gracie Felder, and Sheila Felder, all of Andrews; and two great-grandchildren, Cheryl Stewart and Russell Stewart, both of Cotton, Tenn. Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Friday, May 1, 2009, at the Church of Christ. Officiating will be Mr. Fred Ady. Burial will follow at 3p.m. Friday, May 1, 2009 at Riverside Cemetery in Nichols. The family will receive friends at the church prior to the service from 10 until 11 a.m. Friday, May 1, 2009.
