From her arrival in Bennettsville until the end of her life, she was a devoted member of Thomas Memorial Baptist Church. Surviving are sons, William K. Easterling of Plantersvile, Harry R. Easterling of Bennettsville; six grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren.

Allan Porter Blum age 49, of Buttercup Lane, died Sunday, September 23, 2001 at a Conway hospital. Mr. Blum was born in Marion, SC a son of Morris Solomon and Elizabeth Porter Blum. He was a member of the First Baptist Church of Conway and graduated from Marion High School in 1970. He graduated from the University of South Carolina in 1974 and received a B.A. in Social and Behavioral Sciences and a Masters in Public Administration in 1975. Mr. Blum was employed by Pee Dee Regional Planning Council in Florence from 1975 to 1979 and was City Administrator of Bishopville from 1979 to 1985. He was also City Administrator of Conway from 1985 to 1993 and Assistant City Administrator of Myrtle Beach from 1993 to present. Mr. Blum was a former member of the Waccamaw Sertoma Club and was active in the United Way of Horry County. He was also Co-Chair of the 1997 Dixie Youth World Series. Surviving in addition to his parents of Marion are his wife, Kathy W. Blum of Conway; one son, Justin Blum of Columbia & Conway; one daughter, Megan Blum of Charleston & Conway; one brother, Ricky Blum and his wife Theresa of Pleasant View, Nichols; two sisters and brothers-in-law, Diane and Bill Bean of Spartanburg, Cindy and Robin Rogers of Marion. Funeral services will be held 11:00 a.m. Wednesday from the First Baptist Church of Conway with the Rev. Steve Hadden officiating. Hardwick Jr., of the Berea community of Horry County, died Saturday, Sept. 22, 2001, at McLeod Regional Medical Center. She was born in Horry County, a daughter of Lee Johnson and the late Ruth Amanda Roberts Johnson. She was a member of Berea Baptist Church. She retired from the Horry County RMC office after 32 years of service. Survivors, in addition to her husband and father, both of Galivants Ferry, include two daughters, Cynthia Johnson and her husband, Albert, and Patsy Martin, all of Galivants Ferry; four grandchildren, Jade Martin, Chase Martin and Albert Martin Johnson, all of Galivants Ferry, and Amanda J.
