    3. Thank you Betty :-) I found Ebenezer and Celia at Fork Baptist but ni Indiana Rogers Butler. It is always possible that her stone was destroyed by weather and time. It stands to reason that her grave and the grave of the baby twin boy would have been moved along with her mom and dad. I assume you are descended from the Rogers line? 3. Greetings all, Wonder if anyone has seen or surveyed a cemetery in Dillon area with a Catherine Ann (maybe Kittie, etc.?) that was born about 1878 and who's maiden name was Thompson? I do not know if she married. My Aunt said she was buried in Dillon. Any clues would be wonderful. Thanks, David T.

    3. Greetings, I just wanted to clarify some mis-information from Fork Baptist Church Cemetery transcriptions. Infant son of J.W. and Maggie Thompson. I believe this should actually read Infant son of J.C. and Mammie Thompson. Also, the inscription that reads Mammie S. daughter of W.J. and A.D. Page should actually be "Pace" not Page. Kindly make any corrections on Webpage, etc. Regards, David Thompson (Mammie Susan, actually Mary Susan Pace was my g-grandmother who died in 1915 given birth to twins. I believe all three are buried there.) > Fork Baptist can be reached via this page: > http://sciway3.net/proctor/dillon/cem2.html >

    3. Jane, According to what I have been told, Ebenezer Rogers and others were buried in Rogers Cemetery in Fork. It seems to have been near the river not far from Huggins Landing. Apparently it kept flooding so the graves were moved to Fork Baptist Church Cemetery. I would guess that Indiana would have been buried there also. John Dewey Rogers (Indiana's brother) was buried at Fork Baptist also. I just found out from an aunt that after their Mother's (Martha Jane Campbell) death, my grandfather and his sister had him moved to Cedardale in Mullins to be buried with her. Betty Jo Stewart

    3. Hi Sheila, I am looking for the grave of Indiana Rogers Butler. She died shortly after giving birth to twins in 1884. One of the twins died as well. I have been trying for years to find her grave. 3. Is anyone out there looking at Belah Benton (daughter of Samuel M. Benton and Martha Gause) who married first Samuel W. James, and after his murder, Hezekiah Turner? They are collateral for me (I'm related through the JAMES line, also related to the brother-in-law of Samuel W. James, who was his murderer, and possibly distantly related to Hezekiah Turner) but I'm interested in the family & would like to compare notes with anyone else who is interested, descended from them, or otherwise related. 3. Jane, The Fork Baptist Church Cemetery has been surveyed, not sure which Rogers Cemetery you mean, but have a look at the Dillon SCGenWeb site cemeteries (the Fork area would be in Dillon County). Fork Baptist can be reached via this page: http://sciway3.net/proctor/dillon/cem2.html and you can check Rogers cemeteries, including a compiled list of Rogers burials contributed by Roger Morgan, via this page: http://sciway3.net/proctor/dillon/cem5.html It may be helpful to use the search engine for the Dillon site on the main page: http://sciway3.net/proctor/dillon/ Cheers, Victoria Victoria At 11:56 AM 1/16/06 -0500, Jane Randall wrote: >Am I correct in assuming that Fork Baptist Church Cemetery and Rogers Cemetery have not been surveyed? >Jane > > >==== SCMARION Mailing List ==== >Marion County SCGenWeb site: >http://sciway3.net/proctor/marion/
