    2. Larry, I just sent you directly an e-mail which contains the 1920 Dallas Texas census for your William Berry. It appears his wife's name though was Jennie. 3. Hi, Your William B. Berry family was residing in Dallas, TX in the 1920 census. A death record for William B. Berry residing in Dallas reflects that he died of a gun shot wound on 26 Sep 1925. He was buried in Kemp, Texas. Informant on death certificate Mrs. William B. Berry. At the time he had been residing in Dallas for 16 years. The census of 1920 reflects wife as Jennie E., born in TN. Perhaps a second wife, since the boys entries reflected their father as born S. C. and mother as born Georgia. S. 3. Since somebody mentioned DNA, my Timmons yDNA is available at www.smgf.org (along with a Timmons that traces back to upstate SC) and www.ysearch.org which has more Timmons. This has answered some questions and raised others. There is presently a series of articles presenting the results along with new information being published in "Three Rivers Chronicle". More yDNA might answer some more questions. As mentioned, the tests available at www.smgf.org are free (but very slow). Ray Timmons

You & I have had contact in the past and I have a Spivey that married into my Price family from the Dillon/Marion Co. Her name was Marjanna Spivey and she married my James Mukerson Price in Putnam Co., FL. Her father was from NC and his name was James M. Spivey. Our Price lines don't connect. I have talked my cousin, a direct male Spivey line, into sending a sample to Sorenson Labs who do a free DNA if you submit a 3-4 generation pedigree. They don't send you results but post the results into their database which takes 6 months or more and it's searchable on their website. My Spivey line go back to Wingate, Isaac and Matthew which straddle the SC/NC line mostly in present day Dillon Co, Robeson Co and Columbus Co. I know there are a lot of Spiveys in that area and DNA might help indicate a link that's not yet documented, a lot of them may be related thru Edmond Spivey and back to George Spivey who migrated to VA in the early days of our country. ------------------------------- To unsubscribe from the list, please send an email to SCMARION-request@rootsweb.com with the word 'unsubscribe' without the quotes in the subject and the body of the message **************Get the scoop on last night's hottest shows and the live music scene in your area - Check out TourTracker.com!
