I didn't even know that Charles Refo and Sarah Starr had a daughter named Mary Elizabeth, but I have lots of information about the other people in the family. My grandfather was Henry Baron Refo, grandson of Charles Sr. (Mary Elizabeth would have been his aunt) . Martha's maiden name was Parmenter--she and Charles married in 1849. Here's my information on the Refo family: Caesar Refo was the ancestor of Refos in Amaerica. He was from Bordeaux, France, born ca. 1791. He came to the U.S. in the early 1800s. He married Eliza McLeo, also from France (although her name suggests not), in 1814. Caesar died in 1845, and is buried at Magnolia Cemetery, Augusta, GA. Eliza died in 1859 at the age of 65, and is also buried at Magnolia Cemetery. Caesar and Eliza's children were: Amelia (1814-1830) Caroline (1817-1830) Harriet (1819-1862) Charles (1821-1882) - see below Alexander (1823-1824) Sarah Cecilia (1826-1910) William McCoy (1828-1873) Theodore Edward (1831-1891) Adolphus Louis (1834-1862) Susan Amelia (1838-1865) Charles Refo Sr. was married twice. Charles' first wife was Sarah Starr, whom he married 19 November 1845 in Richmond Co., GA. After her death in 1848, he married Martha Parmenter in 1849. Charles' children were: Charles Jr. (b. 1846) Henry Bascom (b. 1850) Sarah (b. 1852) Miles (b. 1854) Martha (1856-1883) Caroline (b. 1859) Davis Beauregard (b. 1861) Baron DeKalb (b. 1863) Charles Jr. cerved in the Confederate army was a private soldier in the 22nd SC Regiment. Davis Beauregard was married to Forence Antoinette Drafts in 1890. Their children were" Drafts (b. Dec. 8, 1890) Charles Lawrence (b. June 16, 1893) Harvey Carlisle (b. Dec. 10, 1895) Henry Baron - my grandfather (b. Feb. 1, 1898; d. April 1993) Wesley Luther (b. August 26, 1900) Davis Jennings (b. August 26, 1903) I'd be very interested to know anything else about Mary Elizabeth and her descendents.
