    2. This is a Message Board Post that is gatewayed to this mailing list. Surnames: Refo, Starr, Moseley, Dyson Classification: Query Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/rw/AgB.2ACI/1129.1 Message Board Post: I do not have any link to your Florence Drafts who married Davis B. Refo, but I am looking for information on the ancestry of Charles L. REFO/REFOE/RIFO, Sr. who married Sarah A. STARR in Richmond County, GA on November 19, 1845 and Martha A. (MNU) in Edgefield County, SC c1852. According to census records, Charles would have been born c. 1821. Charles L. and Sarah A. Starr Refo had C. L. Refo, Jr., born c1846 in Augusta, GA; Mary Elizabeth Refo, b. c1848, Edgefield County, SC and Henry Baron Refo, born c1850, Edegfield County, SC. Evidently Sarah Refo died after Henry's birth and Charles remmarried to Martha MNU. Charles and Martha Refo had: Sarah, b. c1854; Miles P., b. c1855; Martha A., b. c1856; Amelia, b. c1857; Caroline, b. c1859; Davis Beauregard, b. c1861; Baron D., b. c1863, and Letitia, b. c1866. Charles L. Refo, Sr. served in Co. A, 22nd SC Infantry Regt. from Edgefield County during the Civil War. After mustering out, he was called up to the Reserves to serve in ! Co. I, 2nd SC State Troops for 6 months from 1863-1864. The family moved to Fairfield County, SC sometime between 1865 and the 1870 census. I do not know when Charles L. Refo died, but his widow, Martha, was living with her son-in-law's family (McWalters or McWatters) at the 1900 census in Chester County. My line is through Mary Elizabeth Refo, b. c1848, the daughter of Charles Sr.'s first marriage, but ANY information on this family would be greatly appreciated. Do you know Martha's maiden name?
