Do you have any information or connection to Thomas Smith (Schmidt). He was the first of 3 Thomas Smiths in my line. I believe he was born in Germany before 1748 and came to Charleston, S.C. but not sure. He was married to Anna Catherine Harmon and they settled on High Hill Creek. I have pretty good information on their descendents.
