I know that he was a traveling salesman and met my Great Grandmother while staying at a boarding house that her parents ran. She named her son (my grandfather) either Namon or Raymond Jacob Furtick. I have a half brother (Mark Furtick that lives in Belmont, NC). I would love to know much more about it. I have an aunt Lois Farris that has helped me with what I know. She is from Bessemer City.
