Classification: Query Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/an/AgB.2ACI/83.745.1.2 Message Board Post: Hi, There are PLENTY of Sightlers still in Gaston,Lexington County,SC.Or that live in nearby Columbia.They hold an annual Sightler Family Reunion,the 3rd weekend in July in Gaston,SC.It is a great way to see the living history of the Sightler Family In the cemetery there,alot of Sightlers are buried...Also the State Archives are located in nearby Columbia...Its a facinating place..They only allow you to take paper and something to write with in though.You have to put everything else in a locker that they provide... You might as well take a lunch,and take a break,cause you will be there a while.....There is so much information.... Me, I am descended from Luvenia Sightler,oldest daughter of William A. Sightler and Leah Jane Schofield. Luvenia Sightler was my great grandmother. I have the 1963 Sightler book...Let me know if I can help.. Susie
