I asked my husband about it. I hope its the same place but I don't know of any other place in Gaston, I know when Sherman marched to the sea, he went up from Orangeburg, through St. Matthews; through whats known as the Sandy Run area of Calhoun cty. but I have never heard of any plantations out that way.
