Wessinger of Gilbert, who celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary with a reception of July 4. Host and hostesses were heir children and their husbands and wives, Mrs. Cleo Wingard, Mr. and Mrs. Laar Davis, Mr. and Mrs. W. Q. Wessinger of West Columbia, Mr. and Mrs. Brodus Whitenan of Batesburg, Mr. and Mrs. Floyd Layne of Dunlan, Tenn., and Mr. and Mrs. Martin Bowens of Cleveland, Ohio. Mr. and Mrs. Autry Smith of Lexington, the only living persons who attended their wedding in 1904, were present for the reception.
