At that time there was a lady Guignard pediatrician living in the old house. I understand this plantation was built around the civil war. The Guignards started out in Barnwell County (Aiken today) in the early 1800s. The Guignards gave this property to the Episcopalian Church. The Guignard property was listed in a will to never be sold.
