Classification: Query Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/rw/AgB.2ACI/478.508.513.1.1.1 Message Board Post: I have tried to include some things that may be interesting to your family. Burt Fallaw - Born Arpil 15, 1849 - Died July 11, 1912 - He is buried at Welcome Convent Baptist Church near Fairview Crossroads. He married twice - the second time to his (step) mother-in-law. Notice of his death was recorded as follows: State Newspaper - Monday, July 15, 1912 - Special to the State - Burt Fallaw Killed - Lexington Farmer Loses Life When He Falls From Wagon - Wagener - July 14 - Burt Fallaw, a 62 year old farmer of Lexington County, was killed by being caught on the traces of his team as he was returning to his home from Wagener with a load of fertilizer Wednesday. Mr. Fallaw was sitting in a chair on a plank bed and the wagon seemed to have jolted over a rough place on the down grade and he fell out. His leg caught in the traces and he was dragged more than a mile. He was a highly respected and successful farmer. Burris Fallaw - Born Circa 1815 - Died after 1880 (found in the 1880 Federal Census) - He married twice. First, to Theresia Able and then to Priscilla Gunter. Theresia Able had a sister with the same name (could have been Teresia) - that must have been confusing - she was married to WIlson Gunter. If you could share the following: Does your husband have any brother or sisters? Names and ages? Does your father-in-law have any infomation about Burt Fallaw's siblings. A brother (Acil) died in the Civil War and a sister (Rhodella) married Chancey Rawls. Two sisters (Levisty and Joanne) are unaccounted for. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks, Chuck Fallaw

He was the son of Burt Fallaw - who was the son of Burris Fallaw - who was the son of Henry Fallaw (generally believed to be correct) - who was the son of Lewis Fallaw. All of these Fallaws lived in SC. I will be glad to share the details of this information with you. I use Family Treemaker Software. I think Cash and probably Wilson live(d) in an area of Lexington County called Fairview Crossroads. I have often wondered if Wilson lives on the old homeplace and if there are any family stories that can be shared. It is generally belived that the Fallaws originated in France, but spent many years in Ireland before coming to America. Hope this helps and look forwrd to hearing from you soon, Chuck Fallaw
