But this house was moved to Lexington, SC and is on hwy. 1 and is like a museum, you might want to contact the Lexington Cty. council on Tourism. I'll ask some people who might know more and respond back. Meadowfield Rd. in Gaston, runs in front of the Sandhills Middle school.

Pitts, MD and his wife, Ursula Holman, who married sometime after 1860. Dr. Pitts appears in the Lexington County census in 1860. I believe their oldest child, Emma, was born in Orangeburg and that the family lived in Aiken County after the Civil War. They moved to Louisiana in 1869.
