What road are they talking about in the following deeds? I want to locate this property, and knowing what road it is on will help a lot. Deed Book S, page 632, 1868. John D. Williams sold a lot, Laurens, 92 and 3/100 acres, on road to Abbeville, to Wm. Mills. Bordered southeast and east by Mrs. H. Irby, north and northwest by Bennett Wallace, and east by Robert Sieb ?? (Siebert ???). Land purchased by me at sale of real estate of late Col. J. H. Irby. Same property with a deed on same page as above, 1872, 92 and 3/100 acres, near Laurens on road to Abbeville. Sold by Wm. Mills to Wm. H. Garrett. Bordered southeast and south by Mrs. H. Irby, north and northwest by Bennett Wallace, east by Samuel R. Todd, and west by road. Both deeds mention "3 plats", which I presume means that the 92+ acres was made up from 3 smaller tracts. My guess is that the "Abbeville" road is the road that goes past Chestnut Ridge and Zion Churches. Anyone else have an opinion?
