    3. This Robert owned the "Cunningham Plantation" that was established in the late 1700s. He married Louisa Bird, daughter of Wm. Bird, with no indian connection that I know of. Their daughter was Ann Pamela Cunningham who organized the "Mount Vernon Ladies Society of the Union" which raised money and bought George Washington's Mount Vernon estate. That organization still owns, operates, and continues the restoration of Mount Vernon. The "Rosemont Plantation" (the Cunningham Plantation) by Christy Snipes, 1992, provides an excellent summary of the history of this Cunningham family and their plantation. The struggle that Ann Pamela Cunningham had, after the Civil War, to keep both her family plantation and the Mount Vernon project going, is very interesting. There was at least one other Cunningham family located further north in Laurens County. ----- Original Message ----- From: JanGulick@aol.com To: ralorenz@comcast.net ; SCLAUREN-L@rootsweb.com Sent: Sunday, May 07, 2006 10:44 AM Subject: Re: [SCLAUREN] Two other Puckett /Pinson property records Would anyone know if this R.
