I don't know if this means anything but my mother was a Duncan and I am researching the family. In Pontotoc, Miss. there was a drygoods store named Henderson & Duncan. I don't know a date. Thomas Lane Duncan, son of a John Duncan, moved to Pontotoc from Hardeman, Tenn. The Duncan's lived in Va., probably the Carolinas, Tenn, maybe Ala. then Miss. I don't have all of the dates straight but there was John, Thomas Lane, John F.(my great, great, grandfather, his son Pitser Miller Duncan (not sure of spelling of Pitser), Charles Hickman, then my mother Mattie Pearl Duncan.
