    2. This is a Message Board Post that is gatewayed to this mailing list. Classification: Query Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/rw/YeB.2ACI/251.1 Message Board Post: Linda - I don't know if this will help you or not but let me tell you what I have. My great grandmother was Fenella B. Malone who married first Peter Oscar Roberts and second Jefferson Ferrell Milam. My grandfather, from the first marriage was William Halsell Roberts, Sr. Fenella and J. Ferrell Milam had no children but did adopt a daughter who is Guy Nell Milam. In a strange twist of events, my grandfather W.H. Roberts married Mary Claire Milam whose father, Augustus Rush Milam, was the brother to Jefferson Ferrell Milam's father, James L. Milam. My great grandmother's Bible had a number of obituaries pasted in it and I think 3 may be of interest to you. 1. This obituary tells of the death of Mrs. Elizabeth May aged 92 years who died in Holly Grove Section on January 13. (It does not tell the year.) It goes on to say that she was survived by one daughter, Mrs. James L. Milam, two step-sons, Mr. Elmore May of Oklahoma, and Mr. John May of North Carolina; 3 grandsons, Messrs. Ferrell (my step-greatgrandfather), Parrott, and Edd Milam and several great-grandchildren. 2. This obituary tells of the death of Mrs. Lydia R. Milam widow of the late J.L. Milam who died in the Bailey section between Laurens and Clinton. It does not give the date but states that she was 81 and that interment was in Holly Grove cemetery. It states that she was the daughter of the late Jefferson and Lizzie Sterling May and had lived in the county all her life. She was survived by 3 children, Parrott, Ed, and Ferrell (again my step-greatgrandfather), and four grandchildren and three greatgrandchildren. 3. On Jan. 16th, 1912, Mrs. Rebecca Christian died at the home of her nephew, Mr. J.L. Milam. She was a native of Newberry and joined Newberry Baptist Church, but later moved her membership to Clinton First Baptist Church. She was buried at Holly Grove Cemetery. She was survived by a sister, Mrs. Elizabeth May, and "other relatives and friends" - it doesn't give any other names. I hope this helps some. I have much more on my line of Milams. If you would like any of it, please e-mail me directly.
