It has been a while since I have posted this message, and I know that we do have some new people on the List, maybe you might know the "HODGES Family" that I am hunting. Leroy H. Hodges was born about 1806 in Laurens, SC, his first marriage was to a Permeli ?? she was from SC. Census show that Leroy was still in Laurens Co., Sc in the 1830's. In 1840 there was a L.H. Hodges in the Abbeville Co., census. In the 1860 census Leroy shows up in Jefferson Co., Alabama. We have a T H Hodges that might be a brother to Leroy and he went on to Texas very early. We have a Mary B. Hodges that we think that might be Leroy's mother, She was in Jefferson Co., Ala. in the 1860 census without a husband. She was 87, which mint she was born about 1773. We are undecided weather a Sherrod or a John was Leroy's brothers, but could be. We really would like to find Leroy H. Hodges's mother and father and any brothers or sisters that he might had had.
