    3. I have a Rachel P. Holland (b. 1805 d. 15 Jun 1857 Laurens Co.) married Ephraim Pitts and they had 5 children: Richard H., Elizabeth C., Pressly, Martha A. & Katherine. I don't have any info on her parents. Could she have possibly been Thomas's Aunt? Shirley *********************** >Good Evening, > I am looking for information concerning a Thomas P. 3. Shirley, There are a bunch of HOLLANDS, many named Thomas, that are buried in Lauren County, SC and their burial records are on the Lauren County, SC website. However, there are none in the right time frame for a husband of Sarah Elizabeth RENEAU, who was born in 1838. I know that Sarah Elizabeth RENEAU, daughter of Rev. Russell RENEAU a Presiding Elder of the Georgia Conference of the Methodist Church, South, married Thomas P. HOLLAND on 5 Mar 1854. This was two years after her older sister married Robert W. DANIEL, one of the DANIELS from Daniels Plantation, Abbeville County, SC., who lived in Jefferson County, GA (near Augusta). I do not know where Thomas P. HOLLAND was from but Rev. RENEAU was then living in or around Atlanta, as best I can tell. He left the Methodist church for a couple of years 1853-55 and worked with his brother who ran a newspaper in Atlanta before rejoining the church and becoming a Presiding Elder in the Arkansas Conference in 1856. I have one child listed for Sarah in the Reneau-Richter Bible (c.1836) which I have in my possession. This Bible was the family Bible of Rev. Russell Reneau before it came into the family of John C. RICHTER of Madison, GA upon the death of Rev. RENEAU's wife, Elizabeth STOCKTON, in 1898. The only entry for Sarah Elizabeth RENEAU and Thomas P. HOLLAND is "Ella Alma Holland was born Dec. 31st, 1854" and no location was listed. I know that neither one of these two given names are RENEAU family names so they must be HOLLAND family names. Any help you might give is appreciated. Sarah was a great-grand aunt and I descend from her older sister, Mary Jane RENEAU and her husband, Robert W. DANIEL. The RENEAUS were originally from Jefferson County, TN. John R.
