D, Williams' Bn., SC State Troops Allen MOTES, Co. C, "S.C. State Troops" (d. Apr 1908) I am looking for any and all information on these men. Date of birth and death would be helpfu. I am researching the contribution of the militia, state troops, reserves, etc to the defense of South Carolina during the War of Northern Aggression, with special interest in the units raised in 1864.
