    3. Cheryl, Don't know if this helps, but from a book I have it states: "Survey for John Owens pursuant to precept dated 6 Aug 1771; 250 acreas in Berkley County on waters of Cain Creek. Bounded on all sides by vacant land. Survey certified 17 Aug 1771 Pa. Cunningham, D.S. [P19-18:2]" This is a book by Jesse and Margaret Motes on Laurens & Newberry Counties 1749-1775.
