    3. Researching early Owens, Owings in Laurens is anyone else? Will of Thomas Owinge In the name of God, Amen. I Thomas Owinge Of Dunkins Creek in Laurens County and State of South Carolina, being weak in body, but of perfect mind and memory. Calling to mind the mortality of my body and knowing it is appointed for all men once to die do make and ordain this my last will and testament. Hereby utterly revoking all former wills, testaments, and Executors and ratifying this and this only as my last will and testament. I give and bequoth unto my daughter Jane five shillings. I bequeath unto my daughter Reach five shillings. I give and bequeath unto my son William five shillings. I give and bequeath unto my son David five shillings. I give and bequeth unto my daughter Margaret five shillings. I give and bequeath unto my son James a brown bay horse colt one year old, one bed and furniture with his saddle and bridle. I give and bequeath unto my beloved wife Sarah all the rest of my goods and chattles of what kind and mature so ever with all my debts and to enjoy all! my lands and tenements during her life. And after my said wife decease my will is that my son James should have and enjoy all the goods chattles she should be posessed of together with my lands and tenements after my said wife's death and not before. And in case my son James should die without issue, then my other three sons shall enjoy all my said lands and tenements. My will is my said wife Sarah should pay all the aforesaid legacies and I appoint and ordain my wife and son John Owinge the Executors of this my last will and testament and etc. Witness whereof I have here unto set my hand and seal this 23rd day of July in the year of our Lord One Thousand Eight Hundred. Signed and sealed in the presents of who in his presents and in the presents of each other have here unto subscribed our names.
