Hello, I am new to this list; I am researching James McPherson,b. 1773, married Rachel Forgy; William McPherson, married Elizabeth Forgy in Laurens, S.C.. Does anyone have any records of the James McPherson and who was his father was. I found a John McPherson on the 1752 Tax Roll for Laurens County. I do know William lived at the McPherson Bridge, his property was worth $6000.00 in the early 1800's. William was well thought of, and was well off. I would appreciate any information.
